Adjunct Faculty

Rappahannock Community College seeks qualified part-time instructors on the Glenns and Warsaw Campuses and at the Haynesville Correctional Center and the King George Site.

Classes may be days, evenings, and/or weekends and formats may include traditional classroom instruction as well as distance learning.  Some classes meet Fridays only. 

Instructors are needed in the following transfer areas: mathematics, chemistry, biology, Spanish, history, public speaking/communications studies, psychology and English.  Instructors must have a master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in the teaching field. 

Instructors are needed to teach in the Associate in Applied Science Nursing (ADN) program who possess either the MSN or BSN degree.

Instructors are needed in the following career areas: practical nursing, nurse aide (RN with long term care experience), and computer-aided drafting (Inventor).  

All degrees must be from regionally accredited institutions.

Part-time Tech Prep Career Coach (H0032)

Rappahannock Community College seeks a Career Coach to assist its Tech Prep Program and local school district in the career development and academic persistence of high school students.  Position will be based at Washington & Lee High School in Montross, Virginia (Westmoreland County).  

Career coaches must work a minimum of 22 hours per week with a maximum of 25 hours for not less than 30 weeks during the academic school year. Career coaches work directly with students, both individually and in groups, within their assigned schools in career awareness, career assessment, career development, and academic/career progression. 

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in education or related field with relevant experience is required with a master’s degree preferred. 

Flexible hours with a maximum of $20.00 per hour with no benefits due to funding limitations of this grant funded program.

P/T Instructors - RCC/VCCS Career Switcher Program

Rappahannock Community College/VCCS Career Switcher Program seeks qualified part-time instructors for their fast-track alternative teacher licensure program offering endorsement in English, Math, Science and Foreign Language.  Classes are on-line and some Saturdays.

Instructors must have a master’s degree, have held a valid Virginia Teaching License and have public school teaching experience.  Satisfactory reference and criminal background checks are a condition of employment.
